Bryce Courtenay was a South African-Australian novelist who wrote over 20 books in his lifetime. He worked in advertising in Australia for over 34 years as a creative director. Later, at the age of 50, he began writing novels, with his first book, “The Power of One,” quickly becoming one of Australia’s most popular and beloved novels.
